The main protagonist in the series is Kashish, played by Aamna Shariff. The story focuses mostly on the relationship between Kashish and Sujal, (played by ). They first meet when Sujal accidentally hits Kashish with his car, and after that Kashish applies for a job in his office and gets selected. The company is owned and run by both Sujal and his best friend Piyush, and their families live in the same house. Piyush had two brothers, Rishi, and Varun. Rishi dislikes Kashish and flirts with Mouli and Mahek while Varun secretly loves Mahek. Kashish and Sujal fall in love, and Kashish writes a love letter to Sujal and leaves it on his desk.

Rishi writes the name Piyush on the letter, and Piyush thinks that the letter is for him and believes that Kashish loves him. Their families arrange their engagement, but Kashish thinks that she is getting engaged to Sujal. When she realizes that she is getting married to Piyush, she doesn't object and agrees to marry him only to save her family from embarrassment. The story continues with more plots and situations filled with romance, jealousy, arrogance, revenge and even danger, but in the end, the series finishes with a happy ending, where Kashish and Sujal live happily together. The serial was very popular and widely accepted by TV audience of all ages.
